1914-1916 WWI

Before the WWI, imperialism, nationalism and militarism in European countries raised to their peak. It is the underlying cause of the war. On 28 June 1914, the Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria became the immediate cause of the war. Then, countries in Europe divided into two leagues. One of them was called the Triple Alliance including Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy and another was called Triple Entente including Great Britain, France, and Russia.

Battle of Verdun was one of the most significant battle during the World War 1.
