1920-1921 Set up of the Nazi Party, Adolf Hitler became the leader of NDSAP
In January 1919, Anton Drexler founded the German Workers’ Party. On 24 February 1920, the German Workers’ Party changed its name to the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (NSDAP), also called Nazi Party.

In 1920, the economic collapse of Germany (because of war reparations bill) facilitated the rise of the Nazis to power under Adolf Hitler. Adolf Hitler required the party to accept and adopt the ‘Fuehrer Principle’. This was the belief that Hitler alone ruled the Nazi Party and that everyone else was below him and owed their position within the party to him. The party’s central tenets included the supremacy of the Aryan people and blaming Jews and others for the problems within Germany. These extreme beliefs eventually led to World War II and the Holocaust. (C N ,Trueman. "The Nazi Party” History Learning Site, 9 March. 2015, Accessed 2 June 2020.) The rise of Nazi Party changed the entire political environment in Germany. Germany had become a fascist country because of it.
